Business Analyst – Operations


Next Insurance is a well-funded post-Series -B startup based in Palo Alto, California with offices in Kfar Saba, Israel. We are revolutionizing the insurance industry by providing small businesses with simple, affordable, tailored insurance coverage by optimizing innovative technology and data for a superior customer experience. We're looking for a driven Business Analyst to join our dynamic and highly results-oriented team. The right person will work closely with operations management, leveraging our data to optimize our performance and customer satisfaction. You will report directly to our Head of Business Intelligence and will work closely with both the operations and product teams.

Responsibilities

Analyze operations performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities

Help operations’ leadership identify and capture opportunities for improvement in a data-driven way

Phrase business questions

Define KPIs

Design and develop reports

Plan and execute analysis projects (A/B tests, exploratory analysis, etc.)

Provide insights with significant business impact

Be the operations team’s focal point for all data-related issues and questions

Work closely with the BI team and help design the best system to answer the operations team’s data needs

Desired Skills and Experience:

At least three years experience as a Business Analyst - must.

Experience in web/mobile/adtech/fintech or similar company/projects, analyzing data in the following domains:
Help desk and support
Customer support
User behavior and performance
Churn and customer satisfaction
Prediction models - advantage

Solid background in statistics and data analysis.

Excellent presentation and communication skills (including experience presenting analytical insights in Powerpoint/Google slides)

Attention to detail

BI development experience - advantage.

Experience with technologies and tools including:
BI UI: Preference for Tableau. Alternatively, Business-Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy, SSRS, Sisense, Qlickview, etc.
Very strong SQL querying skills
Spreadsheet (Excel, google sheets)
ML and statistics (R, python, etc.) - advantage.
Basic programing skills (python, java, etc.) - advantage.

Relevant academic degree (statistics, economy, industrial eng. Applied math, etc) from top university, or equivalent experience.

Excitement about working with multiple teams - both in the US and in Israel (and ability to accommodate early morning meetings)
