Head of Agency Channel Management


We're growing fast and we're looking for a talented, passionate leader to build and head our Agency Account Management. This is a highly visible position that will report to our Chief Operating Officer and work closely with colleagues at all levels. In mid-2019, Next Insurance launched its Next For Agents platform. This platform enables insurance partners (i.e. Carriers, Wholesalers, and Brokerages) to provide their agencies and agents with access to Next’s products. The Agency Channel Management team will be responsible for nurturing our Agency channel relationships and growing this channel’s contribution to the growth of our book. This team will work closely with our Sales & Partnerships team, who provide the pipeline of deals for the Agency Channel Management team. This work is critical to our company’s success – both in terms of continued growth and as a channel for learning and continuously improving our products and services. Responsibilities:

Build a team of Agency Channel Managers to grow relationships with insurance industry
partners (e.g., wholesalers, brokerages) nationwide. Take on accountability for Agency
channel premium

Partner closely with our Sales & Partnerships team to roll out new Agency channel
partnerships, take on ownership of the relationship once a contract is in place

Collaborate with our Product and Operations teams to deliver needed integrations and
features to help Agencies successfully sell Next Insurance products. Funnel feedback on
coverages and rates to Insurance Product and partner to continuously refine our offering

Build the capability to market our product offering to our Agency partners and to educate
them about the differentiated value proposition Next brings – our highly affordable,
tailored products, expanded underwriting appetite, and usage of technology enabling
increased speed / simplicity / lower cost of doing business

Strategically navigate the balance between our focus on direct distribution with the
importance driving growth and delivering outstanding value to our Agency partners

Desired Skills and Experience:

BA/BS degree

5+ years of experience managing Agency distribution relationships at a regional /
nationwide level – ideally, in the Small Commercial P&C industry. Strong track record of
nurturing and growing agency relationships

Proven ability to build and manage high-performing, distributed teams of agency channel
managers

Articulate, exceptional communicator, able to hold their own with C-level executives

Excited about innovation and usage of technology to transfer both the agent and the
customer experience in the insurance industry

Open to travel as needed to forge strong relationships
