About the Role
We are seeking our first ever Media expert to drive our above the line media strategy. This role requires a strong analytical background to evaluate opportunities and analyze results as well as a good foundation in the mass media, network and publisher landscape to recommend the right partners and channels.
You are passionate about connecting with consumers at the best place and time and excited to build a strategy from the ground up. You have deep industry experience with a gut for who to work with and what to buy, but are always eager to find new and creative ways to connect with consumers. You’re a strong negotiator with an analytical mind bent on optimizing campaign success over time.
Shape Next’s media strategy to deliver high performing 360 marketing campaigns across TV, OLV, OOH, radio and more.
Execute strong above-the-line media plans to meet ROAS, growth and budget objectives.
Select and onboard our first media agency and manage the relationship to deliver results.
Identify the best potential media partners for Next to maximize ROI through value adds, integrations, personalities, etc.
Find new and creative ways for Next to connect with our target audience.
Work with Creative, Brand, and Product Marketing to develop integrated plans.
Closely manage flighting to drive the best results; change course when necessary.
Develop media test plans to dial in budgets and expectations
Select and implement tools for monitoring campaign results. Observe key indicators such as frequency, view-through, ROAS, and wear out to guide the teams toward increasingly strong campaign planning.
Manage media contracts and operationalize the flow of assets between Next and agency partners.
Responsible for ensuring that correct spots are uploaded and aired including versions and formating.
Negotiate advantageous placements and media deals on behalf of Next.
Desired Skills and Experience:
8+ years of experience in media management including planning/buying media
Agency and in-house experience is a plus
Demonstrated history-shaping media strategy and delivering media plans that result in successful campaigns against target audiences
Experience hiring and managing media agencies
Highly analytical with the ability to use data and monitoring tools to analyze results and optimize ROAS
Organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
Experience with a broad range of campaigns (e.g. brand awareness campaigns, new product launches etc.)
Great communicator with the ability to condense complex information into a clear story, plan and recommendation for the leadership team
Strong negotiation skills
Positive, adaptable, and excited for a challenge
