Product Manager, Customer Portal

Next Insurance is hiring a product manager to help create a world-class product experience for existing customers, focusing on our customer-facing portal. This role will own our mobile and desktop customer portal, with a focus on driving higher user engagement and increasing retention. The product manager will have broad participation across our product team and the opportunity to take on new responsibilities quickly as we grow. Our policyholder product team is redefining what business owners can expect from their insurance companies, and helping Next Insurance become the market leader in small business insurance. Examples of product work in this area include: risk mitigation tools and support, building upon our Live Certificate product, which is disrupting the proof of insurance workflow for small businesses and contractors.


Define key customer metrics and measure success against goals

Lead customer research activities to figure out how we can keep our customers for life

Help us design and build products to capitalize on what we learn

Drive development on these products from idea to launch and iteration

Practice continuous improvement by rapidly testing and iterating on releases

Own the product roadmap for our portal product for policyholders, agents and adjusters

Drive higher retention for our small businesses

Develop innovative products and tool for our customers across all types of insurance and business verticals we solve

Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, marketing, business intelligence, insurance operations, customer support, senior management, and external partners

Desired Skills and Experience:

2+ years of product management experience at a technology company.

Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance.

Experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make product decisions.

Experience building and evangelizing a vision across an organization.

Ability to communicate the results of analyses clearly and effectively.

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with extreme attention to detail.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong UI/UX skills, with the ability to recognize great design.

Strong technical competency.

BA/BS degree from a leading university
