Product Manager, Growth


The Next Insurance mission is to help entrepreneurs thrive by radically transforming how small business insurance works by leveraging technology and selling directly to our customers online. U.S. small business insurance is a $135 billion industry in desperate need of disruption just as taxis were a few years ago. 95% of small businesses purchase insurance offline through insurance agents, which is a time consuming and painful experience. Many businesses are over or underinsured because it’s so difficult to navigate the shopping experience. Next Insurance aims to become the first and only one stop shop for small business insurance and to revolutionize the customer experience through a superior customer portal, claims handling experience and supportive relationship that goes beyond insurance. We’re looking for an experience Growth Product Manger to own a strategic product area for us. Our Growth PMs take on large product areas such as a new line of insurance, a new business vertical or a major part of our purchase funnel. Small business insurance is a $130 billion industry in the US, but more than 90% of small businesses purchase insurance offline through insurance agents, which can take several weeks. More than 30% of small businesses don’t have any insurance at all! We aim to transform the commercial insurance industry just like Uber and Airbnb transformed the taxi and hotel industries,. We’re changing a traditionally offline industry to be 100% online - no agents, no paperwork. We’re also working to make insurance accessible to every small business in America. Selling insurance to 28 million small businesses across hundreds of different professions is a huge challenge, so we’re looking for a talented, passionate Product Manager that is up to the task. Responsibilities:

Own a major product area, helping define the strategy for rapid growth.

Participate in strategic planning conversations to help inform company OKRs and long-term priorities.

Prioritize the product roadmap and backlog for growth features.

Drive product development from conception to launch.

Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, marketing, business intelligence, insurance operations, customer support, senior management, and external partners.

Write and revise product requirements for design and engineering.

Test and measure results, then iterate based on what you’ve learned.

Perform user research and competitive analysis.

Desired Skills and Experience:

2+ years of product management, marketing, and/or strategy experience at a consumer technology company or management consulting firm.

Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance.

Experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make product decisions.

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with extreme attention to detail.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

BA/BS degree.
